July 23, 2013 – The highly-anticipated and already critically-acclaimed self-titled debut album by THE WINERY DOGS (@TheWineryDogs) was released in North America today on Loud & Proud Records.  The power trio–Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold), Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big) and Richie Kotzen (Mr. Big, Poison)—self-produced THE WINERY DOGS, which was mixed by Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Stone Sour, Steel Panther).

Fans can pick up the debut on the band’s official website, iTunes, and Amazon.  The band has already released three videos from the new album, “Elevate, “Desire,” and “I’m No Angel,” which can all be seen on their official YouTube page.  “Elevate,” the album’s first single, debuted at #30 on Mediabase’s “Mainstream Rock” airplay chart last week.

To celebrate the new album, drummer Mike Portnoy invades websites across the Internet—including Musicradar.com, Revolvermag.com, Loudwire.com/Noisecreep.com, GuitarWorld.com, Drummagazine.com and ARTISTdirect.com–premiering video clips discussing new songs and THE WINERY DOGS’ new place in the music community.

THE WINERY DOGS kicked off their first-ever tour in Japan last week to sold-out crowds.   After wrapping up the successful stint in Japan, they’ll head to South America before returning to the States for their first shows on home soil starting August 3 in New York City at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill.  While they’re in the Big Apple, THE WINERY DOGS will appear on “The Artie Lange Show,” which will air Monday, August 5 at 10pm ET on DirectTV and is streamed live on the show’s website.  On Tuesday, August 6 at 7pm, the band will take part in an in-store performance and signing session at Vintage Vinyl in Fords, NJ.   For more information, visit www.vvinyl.com.

In radio news, THE WINERY DOGS will guest on the nationally syndicated radio show, “Rockline,” with host Bob Coburn on Wednesday, August 14 at 8:30pm PT/11:30pm ET.  Fans are encouraged to speak with the band that night by calling 1-800-344-ROCK (7625). The show will be streamed on Rocklineradio.com for two weeks beginning the afternoon after the live broadcast.

Even before today’s release, THE WINERY DOGS has been racking up rave reviews:

“The self-titled debut Winery Dogs album is one of the most intriguing releases of the year. The all-star trio has delivered a blistering collection of soaring tunes.” – Loudwire.com

“Mike Portnoy is a lot of people’s favorite drummer, Billy Sheehan is a lot of people’s favorite bassist, and Richie Kotzen is a lot of people’s favorite guitarist.  But as The Winery Dogs, they very well could be a lot of people’s favorite new band.  Yes, their self-titled debut album is that kind of winner.” – Musicradar.com

“…a cohesive, well-rounded classic-sounding trio with blazing songs that defy expectation.  The group’s self-titled debut is filled with straightforward rock and roll inspired by some of their favorite bands, and their music transcends any of the styles they’re best known for and melds their collective talents into a magnificent brew.” — Icon Vs. Icon

“Free-wheeling, jamming and cohesively playing on 13 equally stellar songs as if they’ve been a unit for 20 years, The Winery Dogs self-titled release should easily stand up at year’s end as one of hard rock’s top albums.  And carve a niche for years to come.” – Examiner.com

“The talents of these three artists found throughout their previous bodies of work is well known and hugely well respected, but put the three of them together in one band, and the result is nothing short of spectacular!  The Winery Dogs debut album, for me is the album of the year, and I don’t think anyone who has followed these three throughout their careers will disagree.  Do yourself a favor, buy this album and put on the second to last track ‘The Dying,’ close your eyes and listen to three masters at their craft…and then tell all your friends to buy it too!”  — Jammagazineonline.com

June 7, 2013 — CANDLELIGHT RED (@CandlelightRed)–Ryan Hoke (lead vocals), Jeremy Edge (guitars), Jamie Morral (bass) and Brian Dugan (drums)–is heading out on tour to share the excitement of their highly anticipated second album, RECLAMATION, to music fans across the country.

The album was released June 4 on Imagen Records and features the first single, “Feel The Same.”  A lyric video for the song can be seen on the band’s official YouTube page here:  http://bit.ly/18Pp2rF.  Four songs on the album—“Lifeless,” “Cutter,” “Sleeping Awake” and “Demons”—are from the band’s 2012 DEMONS EP.

RECLAMATION is the follow-up to their 2011 debut album, THE WRECKAGE, which spawned the Active Rock hit, “Closer.”  Their DEMONS EP, released in 2012, featured the Top 30 Active Rock single, “Demons.”  The new album is a summation of the band’s mixture of hard hitting riffs mixed with melodic songs and heartfelt lyrical content.  Sevendust drummer and newly-appointed Imagen Records Vice President of A&R Morgan Rose was brought in to produce DEMONS and the chemistry was evident immediately.  Four months later, they teamed up again at The Architekt Studios in Butler, NJ to write and record the new album with the help of mixer/engineer Mike Ferretti.

As ARTISTdirect.com proclaimed, “RECLAMATION mixes hard rock riffs with heartfelt lyrical content and power melodics.”

“We are excited for the world to hear this record,” guitarist Jeremy Edge recently told ARTISTdirect.com. “We really think that it shows the band’s diversity and we’re proud to say that we think it really is our best work. We put a lot of hard work and emotion into it and we are pumped for the release!”

June 4, 2013 — SOiL‘s sixth studio album, WHOLE, will be released August 20 via Pavement Entertainment.  It’s the band’s first 100% independent release. “We wanted to call all the shots on this album and, for the first time ever, hold our future in our own hands,” explains bassist Tim King.

“Shine On” is the album’s first single, which will be released to radio June 18 and will be available digitally June 25.  A video has been completed and will be released soon.

WHOLE is the first album with original frontman Ryan McCombs since 2004’s RE.DE.FINE (after which he became Drowning Pool’s lead singer).  It sees SOiL returning to its classic sound that fans have come to admire, calling it the album “that could have come directly after the SCARS album in 2001.”

Following the release of their first-ever live DVD in 2012, “Re-LIVE-ing The Scars,” SOiL began writing new material and entered the studio in February 2013 with producer Ulrich Wild (Pantera, Breaking Benjamin) to begin recording.

“This was by far the most comfortable and natural recording process we have ever experienced,” says guitarist Adam Zadel.  “From the writing, pre-production, and through the main tracking and mixing, everything was smooth and fluid.”

Songs featured on WHOLE include “The Hate Song,” “Loaded Gun,” “Way Gone,” and “Shine On,” which is dedicated to the SOiL fans for standing by the band throughout the years.  Another track, “Amalgamation,” sees McCombs taking song titles from both the SOiL and Drowning Pool releases he was a part of and weaving them into verses of the song.

“I think lyrically speaking, those that are familiar with the work I’ve done are going to get the next chapter that they would expect,” Ryan McCombs describes about the lyrical process.  “Words from a heart and mind that has lived them.  One of the greatest things I experience as a lyricist is when people come up and share with me how a song, or a specific verse or line from a song, got them through a hard time or times in their lives.  It reminds me of the times music did that for me and how powerful music and/or a lyric can be in a person’s life.”

Drums and percussion on WHOLE were performed by Will Hunt (Black Label Society, Evanescence, Device).  “Will added a whole new dimension to the songs,” states bassist Tim King.  “He added a monstrous and aggressive vibe to the album.”  A guest guitar solo on “Wake Up” was also performed by longtime friend, Mike Mushok of the band Staind.

In touring news, SOiL will hitting the road on June 19 for a show in Bowling Green, KY at The Rustic Room along with Pop Evil.  The band is currently lining up shows for the entire summer, which will be announced in the coming weeks.  One of the upcoming tour stops includes an appearance as part of the second annual Monster Energy’s Aftershock Festival on September 15 in Sacramento, CA at Discovery Park, along with Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Megadeth, Volbeat, A Day To Remember, HIM, Buckcherry, Halestorm, Asking Alexandria, All That Remains, Falling In Reverse, Device, Steel Panther, P.O.D., and many others.

Sure to be known as the premier rock tour of 2013, the highly anticipated CARNIVAL OF MADNESS–sponsored by Monster Energy–returns this summer with multi-Platinum rock band SHINEDOWN, along with PAPA ROACH, SKILLET, IN THIS MOMENT, and WE AS HUMAN.  The tour will begin on the east coast Sunday, August 11.  Tour dates will be announced on Monday, June 3 with the general on-sale beginning Friday, June 7.

SHINEDOWN makes their triumphant return to the CARNIVAL OF MADNESS after headlining the 2010 inaugural launch, with a lineup that also included  Sevendust, Chevelle, Puddle of Mudd, and 10 Years.  The first CARNIVAL OF MADNESS proved to be one of the biggest tours of the summer, heralded as a Top 50 tour by PollstarLast year’s trek featured Evanescence, Chevelle, Halestorm, and New Medicine

CARNIVAL OF MADNESS is more than a show–it’s an experience,” proclaims SHINEDOWN frontman Brent Smith.  “This year, it’s all about reinvention.  The culmination of five powerful and dynamic bands joining together to prove to the world that rock-n-roll is alive and well.  So, step right up.  Come one, come all.  The CARNIVAL OF MADNESS has arrived!!!”

PAPA ROACH frontman Jacoby Shaddix says, “We’re so stoked to be on CARNIVAL OF MADNESS this year.  It’s an absolutely killer bill from top to bottom…fans better be ready to get crazy at these shows.”

“I can hardly wait for the CARNIVAL OF MADNESS,” says SKILLET lead singer John Cooper.  “SHINEDOWN is one of the best bands in the business and we’re excited to share the stage with them and great performers like PAPA ROACH, IN THIS MOMENT, and WE AS HUMAN.  Also, it’ll be our first tour playing songs from our new album, RISE, so SKILLLET will be doing our best to bring the pain every night!”

As IN THIS MOMENT declares, “We are thrilled to be a part of CARNIVAL OF MADNESS this year.  SHINEDOWN is one of our favorite bands and it is truly an honor to share the stage with them again.  All the bands involved this year bring something unique and exciting to the table, making this a ‘do not miss’ event!  We are humbled and grateful that we get to be a part of CARNIVAL OF MADNESS this year, and can’t wait to surprise you with our brand new show this summer!”

WE AS HUMAN lead singer Justin Cordle agrees, “I can’t begin to tell you how stoked we are to be on the CARNIVAL OF MADNESS this year. To be able to meet new fans on a tour with so many bands that we’ve admired for so long is incredible.  We are ready to do this!”

SHINEDOWN is indisputably one of the most successful rock bands of the past 10+ years, enjoying an unparalleled streak of hits.  The band’s current album, AMARYLLIS, entered the Billboard “Top 200 Albums” chart at #4 upon its release (#1 on the “Top Rock Albums” chart), and has already spawned three consecutive #1 singles with “Bully,” “Unity,” and “Enemies.”  Over the course of their illustrious career, SHINEDOWN has scored a staggering 17 #1 singles (including their current streak of 10 consecutive #1 rock radio hits).  The band’s latest single, I’ll Follow You,” is currently #3 on the rock chart.  The band’s performance of the song for their just-released THE LIVE ROOM EP can be viewed at The Warner Sound (http://bit.ly/11M3mtU).  One of the most exciting live rock acts, Pollstar has listed SHINEDOWN’s most recent headlining trek on their Top 20 Concert Tours of 2013.  The band’s unprecedented ascendancy over multi-format rock radio commenced with their RIAA Platinum-certified 2003 debut LEAVE A WHISPER, its Gold-certified 2005 follow-up, US AND THEM, and 2008’s Platinum-certified THE SOUND OF MADNESS.  SHINEDOWN’s numerous national television appearances include performances on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “The Today Show,” CBS’ “The Early Show,” among others.

SHINEDOWN is also releasing THE LIVE ROOM EP in conjunction with the tour announcement.  Available at leading digital retailers starting today, the five song-collection features tracks from the band’s fourth studio album, AMARYLLIS, recorded live at Henson Studios (formerly the historic A&M Studios) in Hollywood, CA.  Highlights include audio and video performances of SHINEDOWN’s current single “I’ll Follow You,” chart-topping smash “Bully”, and rendition of Carole King’s “I Feel The Earth Move.”

Proving that they haven’t gone anywhere, PAPA ROACH recently scored yet another #1 radio hit, which is their career fifth and comes 13 years after their first with “Last Resort.” “Where Did The Angels Go” topped the active rock radio chart, according to BDS/Billboard.  Very few bands have achieved #1 success at multiple times spanning over a decade – a feat that PAPA ROACH is highly underrated for accomplishing.  The single comes from the band’s latest acclaimed album, THE CONNECTION (Eleven Seven Music), which was released in October 2012 and debuted as the #2 rock album on iTunes.  Revolver declared the album, “a fist-pumping return to form…”  PAPA ROACH has sold upwards of 10 million albums worldwide.  The band boasts two Grammy® nominations, an MTV VMA nomination, as well as eleven Top 10 rock hits, seven Top 10 alternative hits and can claim the Most Played Alternative Song of the Decade (BDS) with their breakthrough single “Last Resort.”  The band also recently surpassed 4 million fans on Facebook.  Known for their electrifying and explosive live shows, PAPA ROACH has become the common denominator for some of the most successful rock tours in recent years.

Two-time Grammy®-nominated rock band SKILLET recently made headlines when their last album, AWAKE, became one of just three rock albums to be certified Platinum in 2012, forming an improbable triumvirate with the Black Keys’ EL CAMINO and Mumford & Sons’ BABEL. The news that SKILLET had sold more than a million albums in the U.S. came as a shock to all but the band’s wildly diverse horde of fans.  AWAKE debuted at #2 on Billboard‘s “Top 200 Albums” chart and #1 on the magazine’s “Top Modern Rock/Alternative Albums” chart.  In addition, the record hit #1 on iTunes’ Top Album Chart, garnered three Billboard Music Awards and spawned four hit singles including the #1-charting, Gold-certified “Awake & Alive,” the Gold-certified “Hero,” “It’s Not Me It’s You” and the Platinum-certified “Monster.”  “Monster” lived up to its name, selling more than a million copies while its companion video has generated over 52 million YouTube views. The hook-happy “Hero” was featured in season-long spots for NBC’s NFL Sunday Night Football and served as the official theme song for WWE’s Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View. The band toured endlessly in support, playing to sold-out crowds across the country, which earned them a spot on Pollstar‘s Concert Pulse Chart of the Top 50 Tours for Fall of 2010. The band is now gearing up for the June 25th release of new album, RISE. Anticipation surrounding the album is red-hot, thanks to two new songs, “Sick Of It” and “American Noise,” both of which hit #1 on the iTunes Rock Chart.

IN THIS MOMENT joins the CARNIVAL OF MADNESS in support of their latest Century Media release, BLOOD.  The album was released in August of 2012 where it debuted at #15 on the Billboard “Top 200 Albums” chart and has scanned over 150,000 units to date.  BLOOD has spawned the hit singles “Blood” and “Adrenalize.”  IN THIS MOMENT began in Los Angeles in 2005, when singer Maria Brink and guitarist Chris Howorth met at an open jam. Their debut album, BEAUTIFUL TRAGEDY, landed the band on the 2007 and 2008 editions of Ozzfest. Their first collaboration with producer Kevin Churko came with the release of 2008’s THE DREAM – earning them a slot on the 2009 Warped Tour.  Their third album, A STAR-CROSSED WASTELAND (2010), was their highest-charting album until the release of their latest album took the distinction.

WE AS HUMAN signed to Atlantic Records via Hear It Loud, a partnership helmed by John Cooper of SKILLET, manager Zach Kelm and attorney Todd Rubenstein, in 2011 after they were discovered by Cooper.  Made up of musicians Justin Cordle, Jake Jones, Justin Forshaw, Adam Osborne and Dave Draggoo, the band toured heavily at the start of their major label career, performing before sold-out shows on the “Awake and Alive” tour with SKILLET and Winter Jam 2012. Their debut album, WE AS HUMAN, will be released on June 25.

Of The Winery Dogs’ signing, Mike Portnoy commented, “I am so excited about The Winery Dogs and am proud and honored to be working with two of the greatest musicians on the planet!  Richie Kotzen is such an unbelievable talent, as a vocalist, guitarist and songwriter.  I think The Winery Dogs will finally get him the attention and recognition that he so richly deserves.  And what can be said of Billy Sheehan that hasn’t been said already? He is one the true pioneers of the instrument and a legend.  I am looking forward to working with the great staff of Loud & Proud Records, some of whom I worked very closely with during their time at Roadrunner and my time with Dream Theater. I look forward to continuing that relationship with The Winery Dogs!”

Loud & Proud Owner & President Tom Lipsky added, “The debut by The Winery Dogs absolutely rocks and we are very excited that Loud & Proud is their label partner. May 7, 2013DEVOUR THE DAY (@devourtheday)–featuring former Egypt Central members Joey “Chicago” Walser (bass, backing vocals, songwriter) and Blake Allison (lead vocals, guitars, drums, producer, co-songwriter)–released their highly anticipated debut album, TIME & PRESSURE, today on Fat Lady Music.  It’s now streaming in its entirety on Revolver magazine’s website, which can be found here:  http://bit.ly/12bXBSj.  Lyric videos for “Good Man” as well as “Handshakes To Fistfights” can be found on the band’s YouTube page here:  https://www.youtube.com/devourtheda

The first single, “Good Man,” has already sold close to 10,000 singles online, and has been heating up the Active Rock radio airwaves since its release last month, and as a result, it’s currently bulleted at #29 on the Mediabase Active Rock chart and is bulleted at #32 on Billboard‘s Active Rock Tracks chart.  It’s getting spins SiriusXM’s “Octane” channel (where it was the #2 most played song last week and is currently #13 and climbing on the weekly “Big Uns” countdown), WIYY (Baltimore), WJJO (Madison), WIIL (Chicago), WBUZ (Nashville), KILO (Colorado Springs), WBYR (Fort Wayne), WQBK (Albany), WWBN (Flint) and others.  Program Directors at stations around the country have been chiming in about their excitement about the new music:

“’Good Man’ is a stand out song from the first listen.  Egypt Central was a big band for 98Rock, and the early signs are this could be bigger!  I wanna be a ‘Good Man!’”
— Steve Huber – WIYY/98Rock (Baltimore MD)

“’Good Man’ is already Top 5 phones! This song sticks out and sounds awesome on the air.”
—  Tony LaBrie – WWBN/Banana 101.5 (Flint, MI)

Awesome song!  Already getting good research.  It’s nice to get a solid record like this to play, and I feel it’s going to be a big hit in Colorado Springs.”

—  Jack Mehoff, KILO (Colorado Springs, CO)

Iconvsicon.com described the album as a “…powerful wall of sound,” while Metalholic.com noted, “TIME & PRESSURE does justice to their reputation for crafting great rocks songs with an empowering message” and Ampkicker raved, “This is a brutally good record.”  And Emurg.com agrees:  “TIME & PRESSURE is an album filled with in-your-face lyrics, guitar driven tracks, and an energy that keeps the listener on their toes throughout the entire duration of the album.”
