Exorcist Cover (big)

August 14, 2013DARKC3LL has unleashed the video for ‘Exorcist’, the second single from their forthcoming album to be released in September 2013 (RTD Records/Rocket Distribution).

Conceptualized, written, and co-directed by vocalist J.Dracman, and utilizing the camera talents of local crew Darklight Studios, the video was filmed over the course of 2 days in various iconic locations on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, and provides an insight into the band and a preview of the upcoming second album.

Get ready for the chaos! This clip is a taste of darkness showcasing the next step in our evolution and a preview of what’s to come. Our vision and attitude bears little regard for what’s morally correct. Society is the disease. We’re the cure,” comments J.Dracman.

August 5, 2013Chicago, ILHaute Couture Nu Goth Rockers Pretty in Purgatory premiered their debut video, ‘Voices’, on Blank TV to overwhelmingly positive reviews. Inspired by the 2008 Pascal Laugier horror film Martyrs, ‘Voices’ is a dark and visceral video that invokes the tension and unease of it’s inspiration.

This is a dark and beautiful time to be ALIVE!

“A catwalk trapped in a wall of death”, paints a picture that is Pretty In Purgatory. With a dark, avant gard appearance and abrasive tone, they have defined their own genre which they have coined as “Nu Goth”.

Our civilization is blinded by the stereotypical cliches of what makes up beauty, success and creative individuality; we speak for the ones liberated enough to live outside the conventional norms of society. The ones who are open minded and don’t reside in any particular niche, but rather develop character through influences which they carve into their own personal identity. These souls make up a pact we call “the cult of purgatory” We all have inner voices, it’s just a matter of which path we decide to take“- Micaela Purgatory

Pretty In Purgatory is a distorted portrait of our culture’s fascination with fame, fortune & celebrity lifestyle. Often times, what is viewed as glamorous, is nothing more then a public display of the macabre. “We intend to take that which is mistaken for being beautiful, alluring and unattainable, and exploit it for the grotesque reality and dissociative detachment that it actually is“.

Formed in early 2013, by lead singer Micaela Purgatory & guitarist/producer Nikk Skum (Marazene/Bile), the group has set out to break boundaries as to what defines the traditional industrial, metal and goth genres.

Micaela’s menacing vocals, combined with Skum’s guitar and production skills, exploit and abuse the means for a sonic & visual assault of the senses. The band’s diabolic, visceral percussion element (contributed in part by Aaron Rossi [Ministry/John 5]) completes the group’s monstrous kick to the face aesthetic.

We are living in a dark renaissance period in human history. The cold realities of failing economies, war, violence and overpopulation spanning the entire globe; are juxtaposed by the beauty, intensity, realism and transrealism being displayed in our art, film and music. we’re all just human. Trying to get by the best we can with what we have to work with– and IMHO, segregational barriers of genre and lifestyle are crashing down all around us… This is a dark and beautiful time to be ALIVE!” – Nikk Skum

Pretty In Purgatory has just wrapped up their first music video for the ominous lead off track, “voices” and is set to release there debut EP early next year accompanied by a tour.

HAVOK Music, Tour, and Contact Info:

“A contender for one of the best albums of this year because there are simply no flaws in the design,” by Metal Injection, “Unnatural Selection”, a Billboard top 200 release with first week sales of 2500, was produced by Terry Date (Pantera, Overkill, Deftones) and was mastered by James Murphy (Testament, Death).

“While speed metal’s forefathers continue to disappoint us left and right, HAVOK proudly carry the torch everything awesome about the genre: irrepressible energy, flesh-singeing velocity, and razor-sharp anthems custom made for the purpose of shotgunning beers.”MetalSucks

July 8, 2013 – Hollywood, California – Controversial shock-rock masters Dawn of Ashes have released their newest contribution to visceral horror with the video ‘Poisoning the Steps of Babel’, available for exclusive premier at the only acceptable home for such vicious barbarity, Bloody Disgusting. Directed by Chris Trueman and featuring such blasphemous imagery as a bloodied Kristof Bathory preaching to a mad congregation of hedonistic misfits, the torture-murder of a pair of nuns by a masked beast, and confessional vituperation of a small child by fellow industrial shocker Nero Bellum of Psyclon Nine, ‘Poisoning the Steps of Babel’ is nothing short of a malicious attack on all levels.

Check out Bloody Disgusting’s Exclusive Premier of Dawn of Ashes ‘Poisoning the Steps of Babel’ video featuring Nero Bellum of Psycon Nine.

Throughout our 12 year history, Dawn of Ashes strives each time to step up our shocking nature through the music and the imagery that we release to our fans. To us our music videos have always been the most crucial element when revealing to the world the dark and twisted tones associated with the Dawn of Ashes name. I feel that the release of the ‘Poisoning the Steps of Babel’ music video has really shown maturity within us. This video truly exploits how Dawn of Ashes continuously strikes the nerves of censorship while giving holy, organized religions a good slap in the face. Be prepared for the true values of shock; this video holds no remorse. It’s finally time, and the music industry needs a good taste of a pure derogatory form of evil.” – Kristof Bathory

About Dawn Of Ashes:

Kristof Bathory

In the darkest form of incubated evil, a symbol has been born to strike immense shock and fear into the hearts of mortal weakness. Kristof Bathory is the icon which has made a new era where nightmares become reality and where the sounds of the macabre shall emerge from a catastrophic symphony. Dawn of Ashes has resurrected the sounds and visions of horror, hatred, sexual perversion and other shocking content that is spewed forth in the form of Industrial metal / Shock Rock which was created to reflect upon the birth of death, impurity and failure. Now the plague has come to corrupt the flesh of man.

Dawn of Ashes has been an established act that has been on various record labels throughout the years. Since 2001, Dawn of Ashes started off as a Horror-Industrial act and as the years progressed so did the sound. DOA has always had a strong influence from Metal, Rock, & other aggressive forms of music which made the band stand out. Now, the group has incorporated elements from Metal, Rock, & Industrial with a new twist of evil.

Welcome to this breathing vision of Hell.

June 11, 2013Los Angeles, California – Female fronted Industrial Pop/Rock artists, Chamber Of Echoes, have released the first music video “World Of Silence” from their upcoming record of the same name.

It was a life dream accomplished, something I had dreamt about for nearly a decade, and it finally happened. It combined everything I love simultaneously; music production, singing, acting, performance, costume, makeup and set design, teamwork, working with so many wonderful musicians, artists and designers, and building a dystopian, paranormal, and conspiracy-theory laden environment with strong characters the audience can identify with…it was one of the most unbelievable life experiences I’ve ever had. About Megosh:

megoshgroup

Members: Lukas (drums), Josh (vocals/guitar), Finch (guitar/vocals), Derv (bass)

Forged from the bone-metal of ancient dragons, Megosh rises, and the gods tremble…

Baltimore’s Megosh has been toiling behind the scenes for some time brewing up a catalog of high-energy, intelligent rock. Their music is melodic with post-progressive elements and frequent forays into the territory of alternative metal, but they manage to maintain an overriding pop sensibility. Megosh somehow fuses these eclectic ingredients into a surprisingly cohesive stew, a sound that is clearly their own. Impressively complex instrumental material will certainly appeal to the musician but, with Megosh, songcraft still reigns- creative use of rhythm and catchy melodies are certain to captivate a wide audience. On top of all this, the front line serves up tasty three-part harmonies- something rarely heard on today’s rock scene. Megosh has signed to North Carolina/Los Angeles based Revival Recordings and can be seen on tour this summer with Alesana and The Color Morale.
