Montreal, QC based metal band DISSENSION is proud to announce the upcoming release of their debut album ‘Of Time And Chronic Disease’ digitally worldwide on September 10th through Believe Digital along with it being sold physically on vinyl.

Sharing the stage with international heavyweights like Tyr, Threat Signal and Cryptopsy plus performing in front of their hometown crowd at Heavy MTL 2011 along with recently being finalists at Wacken Metal Battle CanadaDissension‘s eclectic mix of thrash, black and power metal attacks the darker side of human nature, reaching epic heights and somber depths. Their debut’s ten brutal assaulting tracks were produced by Kevin Jardine of Uplift Productions, (Slaves on Dope, What Comes To Life, One) and mastered by Ryan Morey (Arcade Fire, Priestess, Half Moon Run).

Dissension is now streaming their first single off the debut at the following links below.

Vocalist / guitarist Nathan Afilalo comments:

“Having been a band for about six years, we have long anticipated the great day where we could let our music take flight upon the winds of the world.  With that in mind, Of Time and Chronic Disease is a summation of our music since it contains some of our very earliest songs to some of our latest. The album has to be taken as a whole, as the individual songs all represent a different facet of the whole that is our music. It’s like a hydra, the beast can only truly be slain if you remove all of its heads and immerse yourself in the dark pools of its blood.”

The band will be holding CD launch in Montreal, QC on September 13th at Foufounes Electriques with local support from Skeleris, Murtenscythe, Intonate, Citizen Vicious.

Canadian female fronted punk rock /metal band DOLL are proud to announce the UK release of their new album ‘The Ragdoll Diaries’, out today, August 12th via Cargo Records to follow up to their popular award nominated 2009 debut ‘Inside The Dollhouse’.

Album Order – http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Ragdoll-Diaries-Doll/dp/B006GGI3BK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1372412998&sr=8-1&keywords=doll+the+ragdoll+diaries

“After thousands of copies sold in Canada and in the USA, we’re extremely happy to have The Ragdoll Diaries distributed in the UK. Cargo Records has been distributing an amazing catalogue of music for over 13 years and now our UK fans will be able to pick up a copy of the album in stores instead of paying high shipping costs.” comments vocalist /guitarist Christina Kasper.

The Ragdoll Diaries is undoubtedly Doll’s best works to date, working alongside producer Jason Jaknunas for an album that has it all, creative musicianship, honest lyrics, and a truth that’s been missing in music for some time. Supported by the fearlessly rocking threesome of Pete Kasper, Nick ‘Chopz’ Richer and newcomer to the Doll family Alex Vance, this is one band that you don’t want to miss getting in on the party early and staying for days while you zone out the beautifully crafted yet fiercely hard hitting tunes.

The grunge punksters have released their third and latest music video ‘Plastic Lies’ in support of ‘The Ragdoll Diaries’, which follows their two previous music videos Youth of Today, Hope For Tomorrow and ‘FMO’.

Formed in 2005, Doll provides the missing link between punk and rock, a sound that’s been lacking in mainstream music for quite some time. With fresh and honest songs cutting through like a hot knife through butter, the rockers snap the listener out of their daze and onboard their trip of truth and beautifully crafted angst through sound and vision. Inspired by the great bands such as Sonic Youth, Hole and L7, Paramore, Flyleaf and Die Mannequin, Doll is on its way to becoming a creative and honest musical force to be reckoned with.

2012 saw great advances for the band, completing several successful Eastern Canadian tours, and breaking into the US market on their first ever tour through America, their live show is evolving and becoming one of the highlights of Canadian music. With strong performances at year’s past festivals such as the Ottawa Bluesfest, IndieWeek Canada, NXNE, and D-Tox Rockfest, a strong review in many major publications such as Outburn and Revolver Magazines, along with local support from the Ottawa Xpress being nominated over years in the Best Rock album and Band categories, sharing the stage with Protest The Hero, Lacuna Coil, Three Days Grace and tons more, to selling out over 1,000 copies of both albums and 500 vinyls of the Ragdoll Diaries, video plays across MuchMusic and MusiquePlus, and ever increasing radio plays, the band has embraced DIY to its highest degree continually improving its social media reach and brand awareness. You can expect big things from Doll in the near future! 2013 will prove to be a game changer not only for the band, but the Canadian musical landscape, with plans to return to the US and to branch out even further into Canadian markets.

BornBroken was formed with one simple mission in mind: Help the masses find a voice, a face, an “X” that marks the spot through the sounds of beating skins, metal strings and broken chords.

After months of writing and hours spent in the studio, BornBroken managed to take every emotion they felt, put it to music, build off of past battle scars and create a record where listeners will feel they are part of the storyline.

On their debut album, The Healing Powers of HateBornBroken play out not only what life has given them but also what they want to give back: truth, integrity, perseverance, loyalty and faith in humanity’s struggle for equality.

FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY
SIGNS WITH ENTERTAINMENT ONE / GOOD FIGHT MUSIC

New Album “Hellbound” Due Out 9/10/13
Teaser Available Now!

FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY is pleased to announced their signing to eOne Music / Good Fight Music. Guitarist Will Putney, whose name you might recognize, offers his own words on the news.

“We’re extremely happy to be working with eOne/GoodFight. I can remember buying Martyr A.D. and Fortheloveof CDs from Carl when I was a teenager so to have a record released by the man himself is very humbling.

We love Guy at Black Market and everything he’s done for us during our time with Black Market Activities. He took a chance on us when Nate and I had some demos in a computer and we owe a lot to that dude. Everyone please support that catalogue, Black Market has the coolest bands!”

The band will release their newest LP called “Hellbound” on Sept 10th, 2013. There is a teaser available today. Putney continues:

“Our new album, Hellbound, is an accumulation of everything we love about heavy music. You’ll find nods to Converge, Gojira, Isis, Ion Dissonance, 90s Florida death metal, Swedish melodic death and modern deathcore (the good kind, if thats such a thing). It’s hard to classify but it’s extremely aggressive and I feel very uncomfortable yet very satisfied listening to it. We hope you enjoy it too. See you on the road.”

Toronto’s favourite thrash party monsters Fatality are currently on a two-month North American “Towards Disastour” in support of their latest album, Psychonaut. Vocalist Spencer Le Von checks in with Dead Rhetoric.com, sharing their run in with Cuba Gooding Jr. and why the quartet have fallen in love with New York City…

Read about it here along with a podcast entitled “Fatality Backseat LeVoncast” on iTunes here:

‘Psychonaut’ is available on iTunesBandcampBig Cartel.

A darker and more mature effort, Psychonaut brings forth Fatality’s trademark energy and commitment to drunken mayhem. Tracks like ‘Thoughts Collide’ and ‘Before The Collapse’ delve deep into the sodden minds of their creators, bubbling with the strange alchemy of pop culture. Psychonaut is an exploration of the inner landscape of the mind, where addled thoughts and horror-polluted dreams are held up to musical scrutiny. Monstrous, ambitious, and sardonically funny as ever, Fatality are taking their unique sound and boundless energy to the next level.

About: Toronto, Canada’s high-energy, modern thrash monsters Fatality have been cranking out wise-cracking, beer-drenched nightmares together since 2003. Known for their wild, riotous live performances and their peerless work ethic, they have been independently booking and promoting their own shows, creating great merch, touring North America, and making some great tunes along the way. Few bands embody the DIY spirit as fully as Fatality consistently do, and no other bands have as much fun working their asses off.

Fatality’s debut effort, Beers From The Grave, was an irreverent, horror-themed album that eschewed seriousness in favour of hard living and good times. Decibel Magazine quipped that, on Beers From The Grave, “solos fly with reckless abandon, the bass is audible and practically so are the beers being cracked open. These guys must have awesome parties.” Hellbound.ca stated that Fatality are “a bundle of crass, explosive, obnoxiously positive energy spewing beer and shrapnel.” Part homage to classic zombie apocalypse horror and part retro-thrash ruckus, Beers From The Grave was an exciting, riotously messy debut.

After supporting Beers From The Grave with East coast Canadian tours, and being invited to share the stage with the likes of Exodus, Municipal Waste, Holy Grail and Razor, the thrash rockers went back to the studio and emerged with still more new material. Three rough-and-tumble, irresistibly catchy singles — “T.F.E.S.”, “Uppercut” and “Hammerfist” — were bundled together as a free EP. While most bands would have simply released a free record and called it a day, Fatality supported their singles with North American tours, winning hearts, destroying livers and splitting eardrums along the way. After those adventures, Fatality went into a period of hiatus. They emerged from this creative cocoon and re-instated their original drummer, Mason LeVon (brother to guitarist and vocalist Spencer LeVon, who replaced longtime friend and skinsman Andrew Suarez), and new musical vision. In early 2012, the band began writing a brand-new full-length, ‘Psychonaut’, unquestionably their most ambitious project to date.

Sanktuary kicked things off with two back-to-back EPs – 2009′s self-titled release and 2010′s Black Magic Brew – and soon followed that up with a massive move from Whitehorse, Yukon to Halifax, Nova Scotia.

After touring the country following their epic relocation and being faced with a major blow in Toronto that saw their van and nearly all their gear get stolen, Sanktuary turned things around with a third EP in 2011, Tundrastruck (a 3 way split with Black Moor and Metallian), followed by them signing to Spread the Metal Records, which sent them all the way back to Whitehorse to record ‘Something Fierce’.

Toronto, ON metallers WHERE GIANTS ONCE STOOD are proud to announce they will be trekking across Eastern Canada and performing the following dates below in promotion of their upcoming debut EP ‘The Changing’ set for release on Tuesday, July 30th and now available for pre-order on iTunes here.

Shedding their skin of years past, when they were known as Absence of Fear and shared the stage with such established bands as Periphery, The Human Abstract and Stray from the Path. Reborn, re-amped and heading your way, WGOS are setting themselves apart from the herd with their seven-track assault on the senses, ‘The Changing’. The EP hurtles towards the future of metal without ever forgetting its roots, fusing traditional guitar solos, technical riffing, screaming vocals and soaring melodic choruses with modern breakdowns and electronic samples.
