It was an interesting record for me to do as I didn’t write anything on it, but that it was a cool record to make none the less. I’m playing all different schools of stuff on the thing guitar-wise, from GARY MOORE / JIMI HENDRIX / MICHAEL SCHENKER-induced bluesy playing to my usual YNGWIE MALMSTEEN meets RITCHIE BLACKMORE meets HANK SHERMAN / ULI JON ROTH evil shred.

First album quotes:

I am rocking my damn brains out right now to the new band and album from Exorcism and it really is a Brutal, Killer, Heavy album that has so many styles mixed in that the Metal, Prog, Doom and Rock fans are going to seriously enjoy! Pack your bags cause you are about to go on a journey from Heaven & Hell and back again. (Jon Hernandez)

This is an album full of really awesome material, with the melancholic sounds of songs like “Exorcism”, with its powerful and emotive chorus and meaty riffs blending seamlessly with more upbeat rockers like “Higher”, with its speedier feel to it and a definite driving sound. (Metal-Temple)

A first test successful for EXORCISM shot! An international group gathered for you get a foot in the ass! I AM GOD is more than a concentrate of doom and heavy metal, it is a monument simply enjoyable! An album has discover without moderation! guaranteed pleasure! (Painkiller Metal Show)

Joe Stump, Csaba Zvekan, Lucio Manca and Gary King get heavy! There’s no ballads either (thank God) but there are some lighter moments that really show off their range. My personal favorite is “Voodoo Jesus”, a song that Zvekan really brings alive, I think he’s channeling the late Ronnie James Dio at times on this one. (RAAHP)

Bottom line is that Exorcism with their debut album are going to make some noise in the metal community, no doubt ’bout that! They are the true defenders of the old school Heavy Metal scene and that’s a thing that reflects to their sound. The musicianship here is tight, the vocal performances are powerful and evil and the guitar work…..heavy as hell!!! Highly recommended stuff for all you metal-freaks out there! (Heavy Paradise)

LordVolture 940x345 LORD VOLTURE Finish Recording New Album

Frontman David Marcelis about the new album: “We cannot wait to share the new tunes with the world. We’re so proud to have made another album which is 100% LORD VOLTURE, yet renewing in its own way. The compositions are more compact and in-your-face than on our previous records, but at the same time there is more rest and maturity and a better flow. Everything sounds loud, tight and confident, even in the unmixed and uncompressed tracks. Each of us has grown a lot since our last release ‘Never Cry Wolf‘ in 2011, drums, bass, guitars, vocals,.. everthing. If you ask me, this will become an instant-classics-only album!

In less then two weeks LORD VOLTURE embark on the ‘Wolves In Bohemia‘ tour in Czech Republic, Germany and the Netherlands. More tours and shows are coming up in October, November, December and January for and the Netherlands and also covering France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark and Northern Ireland. The band has announced that they will play live a number of the new album songs alongside classics from the Beast Of Thunder and Never Cry Wolf albums. Stu Marshall (Death Dealer, Empires Of Eden, Dungeon, Paindivision) stated: “TABERAH’s NECROMANCER is one of the best metal releases to come out of Australia in the last 10 years”.

Glen Casebeer  (AMERICAN ROCK SCENE): „Shit, they are great!

The “Increasingly Infamous Tasmanian Devils” themselves, consists of the following musicians: Jonathon B – Guitar + Vocals, Myles ‘Flash’ Flood – Guitar, Tom “Bam Bam” Brockman – Drums, Dave ‘The Doctor’ Walsh – Bass.

TaberahBands TABERAH Necromancer Release Date Confirmed

Inspired by their strong musical bond Jonathon Barwick and Tom Brockman created, in 2004, what is now known as TABERAH. The bands sound and live performance is derived from a vast range of influences including the traditional heavy metal stylings of Iron Maiden + Black Sabbath, the rock n roll swagger of AC/DC + Thin Lizzy mixed with the over the top, tongue in cheek theatrics of Queen + The Darkness. All with a slightly modern and original twist.

Taberah quickly became a staple act in the Tasmanian live music scene in 2006 and have now become one of Tasmania’s top exports around Australia in any musical genre. In early 2011 TABERAH blitzed a nationwide vote then were hand picked byLemmy Kilmister himself to open for Motorhead (UK) on the Sydney leg of their 2011Australian tour.

Other milestones include sharing the stage all around Australia with high profile international and national acts such as: Paul Di’anno – ex Iron Maiden (UK), Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens – ex Judas Priest/Iced Earth/Yngwie Malmsteen, Blessed by a Broken Heart (USA), LORD(AUS), Psycroptic (AUS), Black Majesty (AUS), Steve Grimmett – formerly of Grim Reaper/Lionsheart/Onslaught (UK), Elm Street (AUS), Darker Half(AUS) and many more national and international acts.

2011 saw the band record & release their debut album “The Light Of Which I Dream” with acclaimed Producer Joe Haley of Psycroptic. The record is a chronicle of the bands early years of blood, sweat, beers and tears on the national live circuit. The album earned TABERAH worldwide acclaim.

In support of “NECROMANCER“, TABERAH have their sights firmly set on the international stage for 2013/14. This includes plans for a run of shows in the Europe, USA, Japan as well as high profile international/national supports in Australia.

TABERAH deliver a show that is full of energy, fun, theatrics, wandering solos and plenty of crowd interaction. This earning the quartet a solid reputation of being a “must see” live band.

Multinational melodic metallers EDEN’S CURSE are delighted to announce their new line up. Ending ten months of speculation after an arduous audition process, the band are proud to announce Serbian vocalist Nikola Mijic as their new front man.

Hailing from Senta, in the North of Serbia, Nikola is a vastly experienced singer despite his tender years. For the past ten years he has been fronting Serbian outfit Alogia and more recently Hungarian Prog Rockers Dreyelands, who released their debut album on Lion Music in 2010. In 2008 he also featured heavily on the Prog Rock project album Expedition Delta.

A happy Nikola said “I’m really honored to be part of the Metal journey of Eden’s Curse with their new upcoming album that is coming out on 4th October and I’m looking forward to rock with you guys“!

Drummer Pete Newdeck commented “For me, when I heard a lot of the auditions, Nik’s was the one that stood out. It stood out mainly because of it’s originality. His voice was strong, it was soulful and he had something different to offer. That’s really why I championed him because I think he could offer something different, change the face of the band and possibly help this band move forward“.

Bassist Paul Logue added “When Nik sent his audition of Evil & Divine that’s when we really began to sit up and take notice and say that this guy was something special. He is the complete package“.

Guitarist Thorsten Koehne enthused “He’s just an amazing talent, one of the most amazing singers I’ve seen in recent times. He’s just so versatile in what he can do and he just fits the band perfect because with Eden’s Curse we’re very diverse, as far as the music, so there’s not just one particular style that we are doing. So we were really looking for a singer that could keep up with that and have a range in his vocals. Nikola is just perfect because he can do so many things, from blues to metal stuff and everything in between“.

Also joining the EDEN’S CURSE ranks is Welsh keyboard wizard and Powerquest main man Steve Williams who replaces Alessandro Del Vecchio.

Bassist Paul Logue commented “Sadly we we part company with our brother Alessandro on a truly positive note as his career as a mixing engineer and a producer has really taken off, meaning less and less time could be devoted to the Eden’s Curse cause. We will miss him dearly as a friend and a musician and we wish him nothing but the utmost success. We firmly believe he has the talent to go right to the very top! He will always be considered a part of the Eden’s Curse family and is cursed for life“.

Williams, a former member of Dragonforce, commented “It was a real thrill to be asked by Paul and the boys to get involved in Eden’s Curse. I’ve been a fan for a long time, I’ve known the guys a while and it’s great to be here getting myself right cursed I can tell you“!

Bassist Paul Logue further commented “I’ve known Steve for a while and when Ale left he recommended we look at Steve. It was very easy choice for us, as we were already good friends and with Powerquest calling it a day it was a perfect time in both our careers to join forces. Steve is a smashing player and one of life’s true gentlemen. He is an utter joy to have on board and I am genuinely excited to see what we can produce together in the years to come as I am a big fan of his songwriting“.

This will be preceded by a digital single “Evil & Divine“, for which the band shot a video for on location at the famous St. Andrews in the Square location in Glasgow, under the direction of Ryan Priddy and his team at Independent Element.
